I share to INSPIRE, never ever do I share to make anyone feel “less than”. You can practice yoga your whole life and choose to not do arm balances and headstands and that is amazing for you. I applaud anyone who spends time on their yoga mat doing what they love and feels good in their body. It’s not about the pose anyway. These last 3 years (since turning 50), my mind shift has changed from “I could never do that” to “why can’t I do that?”. My mind has shifted and my body has followed. I hope by sharing my journey I inspire people to continue their own journey both on and off the mat:-)

In this yoga transition I practice flying pigeon pose to headstand. It’s really important to move slowly and mindfully. Let your eyes (drishti) lead you. Have fun playing in your yoga practice. You just might surprise yourself.
